NPC believes that a charity that measures, manages and communicates its results well should be more informed, more effective, more transparent and more sustainable.
With this is mind, NPC is developing a growing suite of tools to help you in the following ways:
Measuring your results
- On the bright side: A report on developing a questionnaire for charities to measure children's wellbeing.
- Funding success: provides an outline of NPC’s groundbreaking approach to analysing charities in terms of results, risks and capacity.
Managing your results
Is there a difference between the information funders request from you and the information you need to manage your organisation? If so, we would like to hear from you. Click here to get in touch. We are developing tools in this area.
Communicating your results
- Turning the tables: a report on a pilot in which charities develop their own standardised reports for funders.

- Full cost recovery: offers a toolkit for charities to calculate the full costs of providing services, so they are better placed to pass these costs on to funders.
Attracting funding with your results
- Surer funding: provides a framework for improving government funding for charities that deliver public services.
We’d love to hear your views on NPC Tools. Perhaps there are other tools you think we should create? Click here to contact us.
Charity insight
"More than 500,000 women experience domestic violence each year. The emotional costs of domestic violence on the women and their children are immense."
HALT supports women in Leeds who have been victims of domestic violence with practical and legal help. HALT enables women and their children to stay in their homes safely by putting legal policies into practice. In 2005 HALT worked with just under 4,000 women.
