Engaging Young Lives Fund

Reaching out to isolated children and alientated young people

Many children and young people are cut off and troubled:

  • 25% of children in deprived areas have emotional, behavioural and social difficulties.
  • Over 70,000 children play truant every day.
  • Disabled children often struggle to make friends, as they are unable to take part in ordinary social activities.

Fulfilling Older Lives Fund

Creating active, healthy and independent lives for more older people

The poorest older people in the UK live almost ten years less than the richest 10%:

  • more than one in five older people struggles to pay for basics, such as heating and groceries.
  • one in six goes a whole week without seeing friends or family
  • 15% of older people have no access to health, education or housing services.

How to support a fund

Individuals can make one-off donations (minimum £500) to the funds in the following ways:

Donate to the funds online:

By phone

Call 01732 520 198 to make a credit/debit card donation.

By post

Post cheques to Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) c/o: Trusts Department, 25 Kings Hill Avenue, Kings Hill, West Malling, Kent ME19 4TA. Cheques should be made out to the Fulfilling Older Lives Fund or the Engaging Young Lives Fund. Please include your contact details and address.

CAF Charity Account

If you have a Charity Account with CAF you can donate to the fund in the usual way including online: CAF Account

CAF Charitable Trust

If you have a personal trust with CAF you can also donate to the fund online: CAF Trust.

Or by writing a 'charity cheque' from your Trust account. Cheques should be made out to the Fulfilling Older Lives Fund or the Engaging Young Lives Fund.

The £500 minimum is waived for individuals with a Charity Account or Trust. Standard minimums apply. For more information about setting up your own Charity Account or Trust contact CAF.

Gift Aid enables you to increase the value of your one-off donations by up to 28% if you are a UK taxpayer.

  • Online: simply tick the box marked 'I am a UK taxpayer'
  • By phone: we will record your Gift Aid declaration on the telephone
  • By post: make sure you include your phone number so that we can contact you and record your Gift Aid declaration
