Execution Limited raises over £1.5m for charity
Execution Limited, a London-based stockbrokerage that NPC advises, has raised over £1.5m during its 2007 charity trading day. The commission generated at the annual events is donated to charities around the UK. This year’s total was 50% up on 2006.
New Philanthropy Capital (NPC) has just launched Trading for the future, a review of Execution’s first five years of charitable giving. The results are impressive:
- In its first five years, Execution raised £4.3m, which has funded 28 local charities working across the UK, and eight other organisations;
- Execution’s funding has directly changed the lives of 28,000 people so far;
- Execution’s staff are proud of the company’s charitable achievements—88% believe that the firm’s giving is better than that of its competitors.
NPC has worked closely with Execution since it was founded. ‘This is one of the reasons why it made sense for us to carry out this five-year review’, says Nigel Harris, NPC’s chief executive. ‘Execution is one of NPC’s flagship clients, representing one of the most entrepreneurial approaches to philanthropy we have seen from a corporate funder. NPC has learned a great deal from advising Execution over the past five years, and we look forward to building on that in the future.’
