NPC to undertake research into HIV/AIDS in Burundi, DRC & Rwanda on behalf of the King Baudouin Foundation

Drawing on NPC's experience in South Africa, NPC and the King Baudouin Foundation are to collaborate on a new sector project looking at HIV/AIDS in the Great Lakes region of Africa, where conflict and rape have intensified the spread of HIV and devastated the health infrastructure. The project aims to establish the extent of need, examine the ways in which NGOs intervene and the outcomes of those interventions, and provide funding recommendations to donors interested in this area. The project should be completed and a sector report available by October 2004. Click here to download the research outline.
