Home Office responds to the findings of Surer Funding
At the end of March, the Home Office published proposals to strengthen the Compact on relations between the government and the voluntary and community sector. The proposals centre on the creation of Compact Plus – a proposed new opt-in scheme that aims to improve the way Government and the voluntary sector work together – and draw heavily on the findings of NPC’s research for Surer Funding.
NPC welcomes the debate around strengthening the Compact. However, we have serious concerns about the proposed solution and how much of a step forward these proposals are from the original Compact.
