Reviewing funding

NPC helps funders to work out what their funding is achieving and how to articulate their impact. We help funders to make better use of the data they collect to learn valuable lessons for themselves, for other foundations and for grantees. We help clients with:

  • Designing evaluation frameworks, helping grant-makers to develop a ‘theory of change’ for their funding and develop an evaluation framework to measure success. We recommended evaluation methods that are practical and efficient for both the foundation and its grantees, so that both can understand their impact on beneficiaries.
  • Evaluating funding programmes, to assess their impact and identify lessons that can be learnt. Information can be drawn from grants data, interviews and surveys of grantees, interviews with staff and external information.
