Planning and delivering funding programmes
Foundations looking to develop a funding programme in a new area need to know the work of charities in that area well, and find the best ways to provide funding.
NPC has built a strong base of research about social issues and charities’ activities, which enables us to advise grant-makers on developing a programme in a new area. We help clients with:
- Researching need and interventions, looking at the policy environment and the charities in the area, and finding out the best ways of tackling the issue.
- Recommending support for charities, working out the best type of funding and funding process to use to achieve the grant-maker's aims, given the resources available and the types of organisations being targeted.
- Assessing potential grantees, providing grant-makers with a greater level of understanding and assurance. We make recommendations about charities' suitability for funding and about the support that might be appropriate.
