1. What's it like to work for NPC?
In an anonymous internal survey, 100% of responses rated NPC as either a “great” or “good” place to work.
We get a kick out of knowing that we're making a positive difference.
'Instead of getting my clients excited about investing in businesses, I advise our clients on which charity will see the highest return on their investment,' says Plum Lomax, NPC's Marketing Manager who spent many years at a City bank.
'I feel a real sense of pride when I tell people what I do.'
Working with the advisory team are a large number of researchers. Click here to read about what life is like as a research analyst.

2. What kind of development opportunities do you offer?
We take the performance management and development of our staff very seriously. Managers will work with individual staff members to help put together a development plan tailored to their roles and aspirations, as well as the needs of the organisation. This includes training courses, coaching and development opportunities.
While opportunities do exist for internal promotion (eg from analyst to senior analyst role) and for staff to move between teams (eg from research to advisory), we recognise that what we offer can be a building block for individual career development.
NPC's ‘alumni’ have gone on to work for organisations as diverse as Carnegie, F&C Investments and Lego. NPC staff have been recognised for their achievements, picking up awards from a range of organisations, from JPMorgan to Management Today magazine.

3. What is your approach to flexible working?
Work-life balance is important to us, and although we are not 9-to-5ers, we don't work unnecessarily long hours either. Some of our employees work flexibly and part time, subject to business need, and we actively recognise the childcare commitments of working parents.
